Low Fat High Fiber Breakfast Ideas
Water & Other Drinks
  • Drink 8 oz. Of water (room temperature is best for efficient body hydration &
    elimination)
  • Green Tea
  • Fresh lemon tea (recipe) or Lemon Water
  • Coffee substitutes - Cafix - A roasted natural blend of caffeine free
    ingredients. (order on line or can be purchased at health food store)
Fruit

  • Eat one serving of seasonal fruit  (can be a combination) or ripe banana
  • Eat melon separately
  • Cooked or can fruit are not substitutes for fresh fruit
  • Smoothie natural sweeteners
  • Fruit salad  - delicious recipes - mild nutty sauce or granny smith salad
Protein

  • Cold whole grain cereal and milk
  • Warm whole cereal and milk with cinnamon, raisins and nuts
  • Bran or whole grain muffin w/ 1 Tbsp soy nut butter or Apple sauce, fruit
    preserves, or heat on the griddle with olive oil
  • Scrambled egg-whites or scrambled tofu
  • Textured Vegetable Protein ( sausage, bacon )
  • One boiled egg (not more than twice per week)
